The entire hot spring village serves as the model for Kissuiso's location, where Ohana learns the hospitality trade and grows as a person among the warm residents.

The shrine hosts the bonbori festival in the anime, where wishes written on wooden boards are offered. This scene inspired the real annual Yuwaku Bonbori Festival.
