What's already shipped, what's actively being built, and what comes next. We avoid concrete dates here because shipping order shifts with feedback and capacity — but the overall direction is stable.
✅ Completed
- Phase 1a-2 ingestion pipelines (Tier 1.1 / 1.2 / 1.3 / 4) — 1,216 verified spots covering 47 prefectures.
- 5-language UI (English / 日本語 / 한국어 / 中文 / Français) and progressive translation of spot descriptions.
- AI plan generation with day-level cost estimates, transit details, and theme-park / paid-venue handling.
- Sentry error tracking, GA4 analytics, and a launch readiness audit with all P0 items resolved.
- Legal foundation: takedown / dispute API, admin moderation tools, audit log, and source-of-truth blogger consent table.
🚧 In Progress
- Tier 3 — personal anime pilgrimage blogs as a fifth data source, with explicit blogger consent gating.
- Image optimization rollout (next/image migration, AVIF / WebP, hot-path priority hints).
- Cart-style plan builder so users can shortlist spots / events / shops before generating an itinerary.
🗓️ Planned
- User-contributed reviews and photos with moderation queue.
- Tier 2 — original on-the-ground research (legwork) for spots no public source has documented yet.
- Expanded event / collaboration cafe / pop-up store calendar with notification opt-in.
- Mobile companion app (iOS first) with offline plan access.
