1. Permitted Use

• Integrating anime pilgrimage data into your application or service
• Building AI-powered features that query spot/anime data on demand
• Academic or non-commercial research projects
• Personal projects and portfolio demonstrations

2. Prohibited Use

• Redistributing raw API data to third parties or as a competing data product
• Using data for machine learning model training without written consent
• Caching or storing API responses beyond 24 hours
• Systematic scraping (sequential pagination through all data)
• Circumventing rate limits via key rotation or IP rotation
• Building a service that directly competes with otakutrips.com

3. Attribution

Free and Developer plans: You must credit "Otaku Japan (otakutrips.com)" visibly when displaying data from this API to end users.

Business and Enterprise plans: Attribution is appreciated but not required.

4. Data Ownership

All data accessible through the API is owned by otakutrips.com. Spot descriptions and metadata are generated by our editorial and AI pipeline. Photos sourced from Wikimedia Commons retain their original Creative Commons licenses; attribution is included in the photo.attribution field.

5. Service Level

Free, Developer, and Business plans are provided as-is with no uptime SLA. Enterprise plans include a custom SLA negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

6. Changes to Terms

We will notify registered API key holders by email at least 30 days before making material changes to these terms or to the API functionality.

7. Disclaimer

This service provides information about anime-related locations in Japan for reference purposes only. It does not constitute travel advice, booking services, or tour arrangements. Users are responsible for verifying location details and making their own travel decisions.
