Yoshiko Hanabatake est une fille d'une bêtise sans limites. Réusisant l'exploit de toujours obtenir zéro à tous ses examens et obsédée de manière absurde par les bananes, ses actes insensés ont même fait perdre tout espoir à sa propre mère. Une seule personne est capable de maîtriser sa folie : Akuru « A-kun » Akutsu, son ami d'enfance. Bien qu'il se plaigne du comportement ridicule auquel il doit faire face, A-kun, studieux mais terrifiant, est toujours prêt à mettre un terme à toute bêtise dans laquelle Yoshiko s'engage.
