Ni bons ni mauvais, ils sont la vie sous sa forme la plus pure. Vulgaires et étranges, ils inspirent la peur aux humains depuis la nuit des temps et ont, au fil des âges, reçu le nom de « mushi ». Les histoires des mushi et des personnes qu'ils affectent sont toutes liées par un voyageur mushi-shi, ou « Maître des mushi », qui recherche les apparitions rares de mushi et utilise ses connaissances chamanique des mushi pour aider les personnes touchées. Que sont les mushi et que veulent-ils ?
