This mountainous village in Gunma Prefecture served as the primary inspiration for the fantasy world of Grimgar. The rolling hills, grasslands, and distant mountain ranges visible from various viewpoints in the village closely resemble the landscapes where Haruhiro and his party adventure.
Mount Asama
浅間山
This active volcano visible from Tsumagoi Village appears to have inspired the distant mountain ranges seen throughout the anime. The imposing silhouette of Mount Asama against the sky mirrors the mysterious mountains that form the backdrop of many scenes in Grimgar.

The forested areas and European-style architecture of this resort town influenced the design of Ortana, the main town in Grimgar. The blend of natural forest settings with quaint buildings creates an atmosphere similar to the fantasy town where the characters begin their journey.
