さよならの朝に約束の花をかざろう
Les habitants d'Iorph vivent loin des terres des hommes, tissant les événements de chaque jour dans une étoffe appelée Hibiol. Ils vivent des siècles en conservant leur apparence jeune. Maquia, une jeune Iorph orpheline, mène sa vie dans une oasis entourée d'amis, mais ressent néanmoins une profonde solitude. Cependant, la vie tranquille des Iorph est brisée en un instant lorsque l'armée Mezarte envahit leur territoire avec une flotte de dragons, à la recherche du sang qui confère aux Iorph leur longévité. Maquia parvient à s'échapper...

The pristine alpine valley in Nagano Prefecture provided reference for the natural landscapes surrounding the Iorph homeland. The crystal-clear rivers, mountain peaks, and untouched wilderness mirror the mystical realm where the immortal Iorph people lived in harmony with nature.

This UNESCO World Heritage site in Gifu Prefecture served as inspiration for the rural village settings in Maquia. The traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses with their steep thatched roofs closely resemble the architectural style of the human settlements depicted in the film.
