Cette rencontre saugrenue le replonge dans le cauchemar de ses années universitaires, peu glorieuses : sous l'influence d'un nouvel ami particulièrement cruel, le romantique éperdu qu'il était s'est mué en farceur, en véritable « cupidon noir ».
