Après avoir fêté Noël en campant avec ses nouvelles amies, Rin Shima part en solo voir le lever de soleil du Nouvel An au bord de la mer. Tout va bien jusqu'à ce qu'une météo capricieuse coupe les routes du retour. Bloquée pour quelques jours, Rin est invitée par Nadeshiko Kagamihara à séjourner chez sa grand-mère. Ce qui devait être un voyage de deux jours se transforme en longue escapade pleine de visites et de nouvelles rencontres.
