Nanami Momozono se retrouve seule et sans abri après que son père s'enfuit pour échapper à ses dettes de jeu, et les créanciers la jettent dehors. Quand un homme qu'elle vient de sauver d'un chien lui propose son logement, elle accepte sans hésiter. Mais il s'avère que son habitation est un sanctuaire, et Nanami a involontairement hérité de son rôle de divinité locale ! Nanami doit désormais assumer des responsabilités qu'elle ne comprend pas, faire face à des dangers insoupçonnés, et gérer un ancien familier grincheux qui est... en fait plutôt séduisant.
