Moriko Morioka est une femme célibataire de 30 ans en situation de NEET. Après s'être retirée de la réalité, elle s'est lancée en quête d'une vie plus épanouissante et a fini par se plonger dans un jeu en ligne, ou « netoge ». Dans l'univers du netoge, elle commence une nouvelle vie incarnée par un personnage séduisant et rafraîchissant nommé Hayashi. Alors qu'elle débute comme débutante, un beau personnage nommé Lily lui propose son aide. Pendant ce temps, dans le monde réel, l'attend une rencontre étonnante avec un élégant employé d'une grande entreprise aux yeux bleus énigmatiques et aux cheveux blonds.
